Product Information Benefits Aquanature Uplift KH increases carbonate alkalinity (KH) without immediately affecting pH. With long-term use, the pH gradually stabilizes around 8.3. Works in both freshwater and marine aquarium. When used as directed, Aquanature Uplift KH will not deplete calcium, magnesium, or strontium, which typically precipitate as alkalinity increases. Use Aquanature Uplift KH to increase carbonate alkalinity without changing pH, or to increase both carbonate alkalinity and pH as required. Reef alkalinity should be maintained between 3–5 meq/L (8–14 dKH) and should never drop below 2 meq/L. Usage Check the KH of aquarium water using a test kit. To raise KH, add 5 ml per 5 gallons (20 L) of aquarium water. Check alkalinity levels before adding another dose. Some fish may be sensitive to KH adjustments, so wait 24 hours and then gradually dose KH as needed. Directions Shake well before use. Push 4 times (equal to 5 ml) per 5 US gallons (20 L) to raise pH by approximately 0.5 units. Add near a high-flow area of the aquarium. Dose 3–4 times per week. For best results, regularly measure alkalinity and adjust as necessary to maintain levels between 8–11 dKH (2.9–4 meq/L).
